Part time jobs actually fuel the economy and keep the unemployment numbers from actually doubling.

When big companies and corporations have huge layoffs, often times it usually take those laid off employees roughly 6 months to recover and get a job in with similar pay and similar job description as when they were laid off.

So what do these laid off employees do to put food on the table as they hunt for another full time job?

The answer is the same as it’s always been- they find part time jobs to stay afloat.

In fact, by keeping you afloat, part time jobs become life savers by allowing you to get back on your feet and keep food on the table for you and your family.

Comedian Dane Cook had a job at Burger King as he was trying to break into show business, Chris Rock worked at the Red Lobster, and Brad Pitt dressed up like a giant chicken when he worked at El Pollo Loco.

Part time jobs in restaurants usually pick up during bad economic times. Even though people stop paying their bills, they still keep the same habits whether they have money or not.

Depression. When people are laid off, they usually go into an understandable depression and two main symptoms of that include eating and sleeping.

For a period of time, they lose motivation to do many things including the motivation to cook.

This will cause them to frequent fast food restaurants with affordable budget meals.

As fast food businesses picks up, so do opportunities for fast food employment.

can help you get back on your feet if while you search for a full time job.

If you’ve been laid off and find yourself in a lull as you search for another full time job that pays what you are worth, you might want to bite the bullet and consider working part time at a fast food restaurant to pay the bills, save money, and either eat for free at work or get a great discount on their food.
